If you are interested in learning more about our name, our families and their origin, be my guest. On this website I would like to give you an insight in our "perhaps even common" family history, their origins, their background and the today's distribution of the names Sgoda, Zgoda, Zgodda and Sgodda.

As indicated in the small graphic above, I'm looking for my ancestors. Many of them I have already found, some have been relayed to me by others and others will surely follow - in whatever way.

Over time so many data have accumulated, which are gathering dust in folders, which are in my head and are, where possible, in my software "Family Tree Maker". An appropriate gathering place for everything was previously not found. So why not provide a platform on which everything can be displayed together, first for my own benefit and secondly for the benefit of others who are interested in the name Zgoda and genealogy in general. And here is this platform.

This site lives once of my own ideas and entries, but should also lead to the fact that others share, complement and introduce themselves.

The Zgoda in Brazil will not always call the Zgoda in New York or Poland, but on this site it is possible to communicate via the chat room, forum or blog and this independent of the local times.

To protect the personal information of our living "family members and namesakes" as far as possible, not all pages are accessible and can only be visited by users on our family history with a legitimate interest. If you think you belong to, register and we will enable an on-demand access - thank you for your understanding.
All non-personal information is yet available on this website and beyond many interesting facts about the places and the history of the name, even if it is not the very big story.

You are welcome!

Daily Aphorism

Warum liebt man die Heimat? Deswegen: das Brot schmeckt da besser, der Himmel ist höher, die Luft ist da würziger, die Stimmen schallen da kräftiger, der Boden begeht sich da leichter.
(Berthold Brecht)
